Described as London’s biggest outdoor playground, Roof East offers a wide range of things to do. From firm favourites to new launches, these included:

  • Three bars serving beers, cocktails and non alcoholic drink
  • Outdoor Cinema: screening old classics and new release
  • Games: crazy golf, batting cages, lawn bowls, archery, karaoke

Each year, Urban Space collaborates with Local Authorities, organisations and community groups to provide local residents with free events, activities and employment opportunities. These have included:

  • Free monthly cinema screenings for local residents
  • Free summer sports activities for kids and families during summer holidays
  • Free daytime family events on weekends: painting, crafts, jenga championships
  • Employment opportunities through Newham Workplace programme

Roof East is a hub for cultural and arts activity, hosting a variety of special events every year. Past events include: 

  • Exclusive “Hotel Transylvania 3” UK première in collaboration with Sony Pictures with special guests: Emma Bunton and Keith Lemon.
  • UK première of “Gizmo” by Nike SB, a tribute to renowned skateboarder Elissa Steamer. The film featured an all-star female cast, and It was filmed over the course of a year and followed female skaters in all corners of the world from North America, China, Europe, and Australia.
  • “East Wall Warm Up” dance performance produced by East London Dance and Hofesh Shechter Company, commissioned and presented by Historic Royal Palaces
